Someone who I know ( referred to as SWIM) wanted to get into crypto currencies, and decided to buy some Ethereum. Swim found a "Crypto Guy" through a friend (šŸ˜¬) and started e-transferring him money for Ethereum. [An E-transfer is a way to send money to an email or phone number from your bank account, and they are not recoverable in any way once they are accepted by the other party.]

So, Swim sent this guy almost 15 thousand dollars for Ethereum over a period of a few months, and was sent some random ETH token in Atomic Wallet. One that appeared to be the legit ETH at first glance, but looking at the transactions it is clearly not real. Swim thought they had 60k USD sitting in their wallet and that would solve all their debt problems. Swim was obviously scammed, and thought that they knew more about crypto than they actually did.

I'm telling you this to make sure the people that are close to you aren't getting into crypto currency without asking the right people first. It might be beneficial to offer to be that person for the people in your life.

Why you do not use a medium like AirTM to track the transactions in P2P trading and avoid these people that waste your time on emails? Second, there is nothing called money is gone. After life, scammers will pay back every single cent scammed to innocent people.
